Each August the archaeologists excavating the site of the 18th-century French colonial fort on the St. Joseph River open their dig to the public, with artifact displays, 'ask an archaeologist' tables, guided tours and a living history village of costumed reenactors.

    First weekend of August.

From the record. Western Michigan University's Fort St. Joseph Archaeological Project has more than 25 years of research at the site.
