Cassopolis, Mich. Eleven more cards have joined the old postcard gallery, all from before 1931 and so in the public domain.
Two show the Pioneer Log Cabin going up in May and June of 1923. There are the Michigan Central depots at Cassopolis and Vandalia, the corner of State and Main in Vandalia, the north side of Chicago Street in Edwardsburg, a crowd on Main Street in Niles, and the long arched block on what was then Main Street, now Broadway, in Cassopolis. The cabin’s story is told in The cabin a county built.
White Pigeon joins the gallery for the first time, with a steam shovel at work on the paper mill track.
Every card can be searched, found on the map, and sent as a postcard of your own.
