The St. Joseph River valley. Many of the valley’s museums are run by volunteers and open only a few days a week, some only in summer. Turning up to a locked door is the commonest way a day out goes wrong.

The Visit & Plan page now takes a date. Pick the day you’re coming and it shows which museums are open, using each place’s posted hours, and any festival on that day.

There are ready-made days out to start from, each one in an order that saves driving and opens in Google Maps with one tap. Or build your own day, and see it on the map with rough times.

Hours change, and the page can’t know about holidays, so check each place before you go.
